Judge Me

You’ll judge me here, you’ll judge me there, You’ll judge me f***ing everywhere!

You’ll judge me nevertheless, you see, You will judge me, for being me!

You’ll judge me if I show my skin, By the amount of melanin,

You’ll judge me if I cover it up, With a tattoo, a piercing or a nosejob,

You’ll judge me if I choose a smoothie over green tea,

You’ll judge beacause I have an ‘a’ instead of an ‘i’ between my ‘f’ and ‘t’.

You’ll judge me for being short or tall, By the number of times I stumble and fall,

You’ll judge me for who or what I love, For caring too much or for not caring enough,

You’ll judge me by the colour of my hair, If it’s curly, straight or barely there!

You’ll judge me nevertheless, you see, You’ll judge me for being me!

I hope one day you’ll stop talking about,

The way I walk, the way I shout,

And see me a little more humanely, Not perfect, not meant to be!

Let’s all try to be a little less judgemental!

People’s perspective will not change, but the effort is praise worthy. Let’s hope for a less judgemental tomorrow.
