My 5 Most Favourite Despacito Covers

“Despacito” (English: “Slowly”) is a single by Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi featuring Puerto Rican rapper Daddy Yankee from the former’s upcoming studio album. Universal Music Latin released “Despacito” and its music video, which shows both artists performing the song in La Perla neighborhood of Old San Juan, Puerto Rico and the local bar La Factoría. It is the first song to reach 3 billion views on YouTube. The song was written by Luis Fonsi, Erika Ender and Daddy Yankee, and was produced by Andrés Torres and Mauricio Rengifo.

The world conspired me to get addicted to this song. It has been months and I can not get over it, it is serious. I am tired of listening to the original so here are my 5 most favourite Despacito covers:

1. The classic Justin Bieber feature

The only Justin Bieber song I like, need I say more?

2. Indian Classical Cover by Mahesh Raghvan

This Indian take on the chart topper is really calming for the ears and awesome for people who love instrumental songs only. The song features Praveen Prathapan on the flute and Janan Sathiendran on Tabla. This YouTube channel also has great covers of other top songs like Sia’s “Cheap Thrills” and they are really addicting.

3. Cover by Madilyn Bailey & Leroy Sanchez

This cover by this superb YouTube duo is so soothing for the ears. The addition of a female voice makes the song sound completely different yet true to the feels. This is one cover that you must give a chance.

4. India Dance Video Cover

Even though this is not the cover of the song, it is a dance cover that will get you hooked. Choreographed by Shiamak Davar, this piece of perfection makes you keep wanting more of these awesome dancers who took the hit to a whole new level!

5. Boyce Avenue Acoustic Cover

This cover by Boyce Avenue makes the song sound so much more emotionally touching just by reducing all the music to a simple acoustic guitar, you are bound to fall in love!

Hope you liked them, Videbo vos mox!
