Things I liked in the Game Of Thrones Season 7 Premiere (NO SPOILERS)

Well, well, the night was long and full of terror with the season 7 premiere of the hit TV show that has been stealing our hearts since forever! Cersei Lannister, Daenerys Targaryen, and Jon Snow are getting ready for the battle of their lives. But apart from the King in the North, not everyone is aware of the real threat in the form of the Night King inching towards them.

In this episode, Danny comes home, which by the way is beautiful AF! After a long struggle and conquering most of the Essos, Daenerys Targaryen is finally back where she belongs. Ready to take the throne at Dragonstone. It used to be Stannis Baratheon’s throne. With everything she has achieved so far, the Mother of Dragons is ready to take on Cersei and the Night King later on. Cersei, on the other hand, content as usual after killing a bunch of people in the last season tries to make allies with random houses while Jamie stands by her. Arya slays it in the first few minutes of the episode, literally.

The best (and the cutest) thing that has happened since last season is the kick-arse Lyanna Mormont! Adorable and daring at the same time, she is getting some women’s rights activist goals accomplished.

At the same time, John Snow is taking all the right decisions, rallying all the houses in the North and getting ready for winter.

Bran comes to The Wall! Can we talk about that for a moment?

Samwell Tarly and Gilly are at Citadel, Old Town. Sam is finally at a place he belongs to. Gilly is just following him. But one should not forget that Sam has Heartsbane. A sword made of Valyrian steel. He said that he will use it for his studies in becoming a Maester. But we have seen Sam admire Jon Snow’s Longclaw and keep it safe when Snow was with Mance Rayder. Sam is staying up in the night, studying because it’s finals week and he did nothing all year…kidding, or am I?

Sam discovers some crucial information

Gilly has come a long way. Literally from beyond the wall and figuratively from being a wildling to a learned woman.

Gilly discovers her true potential

All taken into account, the wine glass is back in Cersei’s hand and Danny is ready for the war which means that we can expect some blood-curdling action.

One line to describe this episode? “I’m in love with the shape of you!”
